Your Instructors

Director of Education Beth Murphy

Beth serves as SciSci’s Director of Education, as well as a science/STEM education consultant working with clients throughout the US. Beth brings expertise leading K-12, out-of-school, and college-level programs—especially those that combine classroom experiences with teacher professional development. Beth is passionate about utilization-focused evaluation that empowers continuous learning and growth as well as engaging in authentic collaboration with like-minded educators and organizations. She holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Rochester with research experience in understanding heating and melting on ultrafast time scales.

Lead Scientist Educator Renee Nesnidal

Renee is a lead instructor for Science from Scientists, with over 20 years experience working in science education at K-12 and at the college levels. Prior to joining Science from Scientists, she worked as a consultant with several Minnesota schools to incorporate more hands-on science, lead science workshops for students and educators, and teach summer STEM camps and in-school enrichment programs for students of all ages. She holds a PhD in atomic physics, specializing in laser and optical engineering.

    This course is designed for K-12 teachers, curriculum specialists, and school leaders who are in earlier stages of exploring the new MN Science Standards, Science and Engineering Practices, and Crosscutting Concepts. Educators from community organizations that provide science and STEM programming for schools will also find it useful.

  • Do I have to use PayPal to pay for the course?
